THE CANTICLE



Welcome to Van Rensburg. A town where no one knows and time is just a vague assumption. A town where dreams are conjured, realized, shattered then pieced back together and sold for sheepskins.



On a humid mid summers evening, the populace of Van Rensburg received three travelers, unassuming in character and appearance. A shadowy fate followed the trio into a thickening plot a midst a sea of flatulent ideals governed by cadaverous figures in waiting.



Soon the hussars would assimilate into a cauldron awash with riddles and toil. These riddles baffled, bemused and amused the town’s three neophytes inspiring them to join and engage in the act of forming canticles in union. The canticles were nurtured by the triptych bond, an inseparable deed of covenant, under written by the candor true to the meaning of all meanings. Meaning the meanings mean what they mean when they are meant to be even when they are not meant, as understood by local fellowships and scholars alike.



Shouts of “I know what you are saying and I see where you are coming from but I don’t know what you mean” echoed through out the town’s common areas and bell towers, on days when the tide of anxiety had risen too far up the valley.



One day, in a quaint cobbled square, an assembly was summons by the ruler of Van Rensburg and the canticles were transcribed by the trio in phonic code to a willful congregation of on lookers and predatory profiteers. The hearers cheered, cried and retired back to digs a far in great anticipation for the next trio offering.



The tail ends with a never ending, ending perpetually destroyed by it’s own beginning thus allowing the canticles of Van Rensburg to live on through eternity.
