Vanessa Van Basten is a duo with various guests and contributors from the alternative and extreme italian underground scene. We make slow, heavy, metaphysic instrumental music. Our influences are cosmic psychedelia, industrial rock like Swans or Godflesh, Neurot & Hydrahead catalogue, old 4AD bands, krautrock, norwegian black metal. When we play 'live', we offer a more simple but powerful version of our music. Vanessa Van Basten non è una cantautrice olandese, ma un progetto musicale nato nel 2004 da Morgan Bellini e Stefano Parodi. Veniamo definiti come 'heavy postrock', ma in realtà ci piacciono semplicemente le ripetizioni, gli Swans, i Godflesh, i Low, la vecchia 4AD, le colonne sonore. Da tempo abbiamo consolidato una formazione a tre, con Roberto alla batteria, ma qualche altro oscuro individuo ci aiuta ogni tanto. Dal vivo proponiamo una versione più scarna e dinamica del nostro repertorio. Per la discografia vedere qui sotto, siamo presenti anche nei circuiti iTunes, Amazon ecc.
