At age 11, Valentino won a scholarship at The Sofia State School of Fine Art. After graduating continued studies at The Sofia State Academy of Fine Arts specializing in classical realism/painting, etching and sculpture. Concurrently studied singing in The Vocal Faculty of The Sofia State Conservatory of Music in the class of Prof. Hristo Brambarov. Continued music in London, England. Privately studied with Renata Tebaldi.
Music Program Assistant for the BBC World Service from 1977 until 1984.
