UrbanSoul Music Group is a collective comprised of Darrell S. Powe, Jr.(aka DSMOOTH), Ken Wood, Jr. (aka KENWOOD) & Joe Lopez (aka DJ BAZOOKA JOE), who have been in the music industry collectively for almost 20 years.They are scholars of hip-hop & soul music: from the sounds of the sixties and seventies through to today’s contemporary music. With a range of musical influences such as Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Quincy Jones, Marley Marl, Leon Ware, all three members have studied and understand how the roots and essence of hip-hop music and culture lives and breathes – their music constantly captures that legacy.
