WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF ARE. JAE THE MASKOTT.



In the early summer of 1986 a wise and talented boy by the name of Randall "Are. Jae" Johnson was born in Boston, Massachusetts. Are Jae was raised in the home of his grandmother Willie Mae Johnson. A home built on a foundation of love but filled with chaos. He would live there in that house until he was 10 years old.



During a reflective moment, Are.Jae says "We were not the only ones living in the house. It was me, my grandmother, 6 out of 8 of her kids including my mom, a few of my cousins, and my grandfather. I was used to cops, drugs, guns, and stolen property in and out of the house. I really didn't have much guidance but my grandmother tried her best to keep me safe and obviously she was successful."



This woman, Willie Mae Johnson is a very important person to Are. Jae.



"My grandmother inspires me because she did nothing but struggle and stand behind her kids no matter how many times they got locked up, stole from her,or sold things out of her house because of drug addiction. My grandmother taught me to live with my heart and to never fear when Gods' on my side. She would always find something to smile about through the storm."



SHADOWS



Are.Jae has made the steps to emerge from the shadows and embrace the light that is destined to shine upon him. Not only for himself but in the loving memory of his inspiration Willie Mae Johnson who passed away in a car crash in Alabama in 2005.



At the age of 12, Are. Jae made a firm decision to pursue his interest in music and Attend Boston Arts Academy. At the school he majored in music and studied Classical, Jazz, and R&B music. Although he was learning new techniques and lessons, Are. Jae always maintained his originality while incorporating what he learned throughout his music. Are. Jae's experience at Boston Arts Academy expanded his love and appreciation for music.



Are. Jae is no stranger to the stage or being on the road traveling and he has performed with groups such as B2K, IMX,and Mario. Along with performing, Are. Jae also worked and attended studio sessions with some of these artists. Being a native from Boston, Are. Jae has also performed all around his city. He's performed at some of the most profound venues in Bostongracing stages that many great artists before him have. Venues like the Strand Theater and Orpheum Theater, also Faneuil Hall a famous tourist attraction in Boston.



INSPIRATIONS



Are. Jae's determination to introduce something new, fresh, and different to the business has not changed. His love, hunger, and creativity keeps him inspired and motivated for more.

both speak to that person inside of you that can't escape We get past the top layer and dig to the core where the

pain, happiness, and most importantly the actual person lives."



"JADA KISS shows me that intelligence exists in the hood. I feel like we relate in that aspect of life.

His word play is simple and plain but they come with complex meanings. I understand Jada's perspective

about coming from the hood, so that creates a personal relationship to his music, for me.

Hearing him speak of things that I've gone through and dealt with motivates me because it shows me that

the world stops for no one. His music tells me to stay grounded, be real with myself, and look forward to

the best but prepare for the worse."



"JAY-Z shows me its possible. Listening to his music for me is like taking a college class in my favorite subject.

He constantly reinvents himself. Showing me that being the best is not impossible."



THE FUTURE



I would love to work with Jadakiss, Jay-Z, Neptunes, Timbaland, Kerry Hilson, and some rock bands just to name a few.



I have visions that are so clear that its like I'm actually in the place I'm envisioning. I try to be as human, humble, and open minded as possible while still being clever. Knowing my potential inspires me to explore and challenge myself to create more.



ARE. JAE has good intentions. He truly loves what he does and wouldn't change it for the world. He cares about others and loves to see any and everyone happy. Everything that is released from Are. Jae is released from his heart for you as well as for him. This is what Are. Jae wants to die doing.
