Undefined is the name. Defined and refined is the music. A seven-piece nu-urban posse residing in Leuven, that serves an original musical blend, with the main ingredients being Hip-hop, Reggae, dancehall, breakbeat crossover and funk. Undefined is famed for being one of the best upcoming live acts in their area.
The formation of the band goes back to 1997, when guitarist Hansiman, keyboard player Alejandro and drummer Miquel got together as a jam band. In 2005 they expanded with scratcher Jebbadizer, bass player Zeppos and two MC’s: Rhygin, a vocalist who spent half of his young life in the US where he learned to love all things Hip-hop, and Jaymee, a Dutch Haitian with a Caribbean flow. Their lyrics float on mellow funk, fat Hip-hop and dance beats with funky guitars. In January 2009, Undefined has been faced with the terrible loss of Rhygin (Cedric Luyten) due to a tragic traffic accident, but they will continue to travel up the road they started with him while he lives on in their music.
