Born & raised in Vallejo, CA, TY THA ARTIST possesses a wide range of talents which make him a prodigy in the future of the Norcal music scene. Known for his smooth flow, full of witty punchlines, TY THA ARTIST strives for perfection line by line. As a young entrepreneur and full-time college student, TY THA ARTIST credits his artistic creativity to the unique challenges of his busy, everyday life.
“I don't even like considering myself as a "rapper" anymore. Instead, I consider myself an artist because I make music as an artform, not as a gimmick or for the money or the fame.”
In addition to being a skilled vocalist, TY THA ARTIST has also developed skills in music production, graphic design, and video directing which make him a one-stop shop for emerging artists. “I can’t settle with just getting by. If somebody else is out there doing something, I feel like I can do the same, but do it better.”
With a mindset of “persistence pays off”, TY THA ARTIST has risen from the overcrowded group of newcomers within hip-hop culture to make himself a true artist with matchless potential. Resisting conformity, TY has a message which will serve as a breath of fresh air for listeners waiting for the next best thing to emerge.
