Producer Benji Vaughan, aka PROMETHEUS, is one of Twisted Records' leading artists. Shining at the forefront of the international electronica scene, creating music and playing gigs as "Prometheus" solo, "Younger Brother" and the newly created "The Zap!" -with respective partners in crime, Simon Posford and Raja Ram- he's rocked thousands in countries such as Greece, Japan, Finland, Denmark, Mexico, Hungary, and the U.S., to name a few. Since the early nineties, he has been creating psychedelic trance and electronica under various guises and has featured as Prometheus/ Younger Brother on Twisted Records UK, and Dragonfly, as well as Cyberbabas and The Zap! on TIP Records. As a producer, he is well respected in the dance music world in general, as Contraband for Backroom Beats and JUNK, a house outfit with Joe Williams from The Light/PFN getting play from Sasha, Nick Warren, Steve Lawler, John Digweed, and all the well known house DJs. He has performed remix work for EMI and Jive Records as well as producing The Egg. In addition, he's won several awards, most notably one from Sony for his soundtrack to a Nike advert. However, it is his prowess as a trance producer that he is most famous for, ever since his earliest single, "Clarity from Deep Fog" with Process, right up to every track on "Corridor of Mirrors" in which he clearly displays his inimitable pstyle, dancefloor testimony to his skills in the studio and ability to move an audience. His latest album, SPIKE, sees Prometheus head off in a whole new direction in his search of a timeless sonic landscape. Steering away from all things familiar and into the realm of future techno -from crunching 4/4 beats to utopian ambience- he has delved into 70's electro influences running as deep as Kraftwerk, Vangelis & Tangerine Dream whilst also showing a keen appreciation for the underground music of today.
