DESCRIPTION:
The song "Virginia (And The Circus Side Show)" by Twiggy is an extremely rare song performed by the original English sixties model and fashion icon Twiggy, (and she's still looking great in 2009) appearing on UK TV with her David Essex produced track "Falling Angel" in 1978. Unfortunately the record wasn't a chart success but then this period was a highly creative and competitive time to be making music. The performance however has always been memorable for me since the first time I saw it on the satellite television. This song re-runs back in the nineties. The version here features a live arrangement and orchestration which is different and a bit weaker than the David Essex production on the record release in 1978.

The song "Virginia (And The Circus Side Show)" by Twiggy is located on the "B" side of the vinyl "Falling Angel".

Twiggy Talks: "I did that one with David Essex - who I have known since the late sixties when David was up to play the male lead in 'The Boy Friend', then Ken Russell cast Christopher Gable instead. We then worked together a few years later when he made two guest spots on my BBC TV shows. After that David said he had written this song and asked if I would go into the studio to record it. He's a nice chap and that's a sweet song actually - I liked that one!".
