Twenty Bucks

Twenty Bucks is a rock band from Kokkola, Finland. They started in the spring of 2006. After playing a few shows in their hometown they noticed all the positive attention that was developing around them and their melodic, pop-rock music.



May 2007 got to be the month of a Twenty Bucks debut release. The demo-EP "False Opinions" includes five bashing, good sounding songs that get stuck in your head - whether you like it or not! The cd was somewhat of an underground success, and it sold all the copies made of it in a very short time. The band's music spread, and soon they began to get more and more gig offers.



Twenty Bucks is also notable for the victory of "Kokkolarock 2008" band competition in their home county and underground punk scene in Finland. They opened saturday for the festival. This made local radio stations interested, which soon began to play "Forget About all the Bad Things", the third track from "False Opinions", and made it a mini-sized hit.



In June 2009 Twenty Bucks released another EP called "a Gift From Heaven or Hell", this time with more professional sound and even better songs. Gig offers are again growing, and the band is feeling happy and open about the future. They have also received attention from major record companies.
