Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, this emcee of Jamaican descent has created a provocative and forward-thinking style all his own. Blessed with a distinctive raspy baritione and magnetic charisma, Tut is at once unforgettable and commands attention. His music, Carribbean flavored with Midwest leanings, is a refreshing change from the monotony that hip hop has become.

After leaving Florida, he moved to Cleveland, where he instantly became a dominant fixture on the local hip hop scene. He has blessed audiences in Atlanta, Chicago, Cincinnati, Detroit, DC, Baltimore, New York, Buffalo, Milwaukee, Tallahassee, Houston, Oakland, San Francisco, Berkeley, San Jose and a kazillion small towns across the country an he has shared a stage with such heavyweights as Talib Kweli, the Roots, De La Soul, KRS-ONE , Boot Camp Click, Slum Village, Little Brother, CampLo, Hieroglyphics, Ghostface, Immortal Technique, Big Daddy Kane, and Bizzy Bone.

A tremendous battle rapper, Tut is the 2005 Spitboxing Battle Champion, the 2006 Kings of the Iron Mic Battle Champion, has made a number of showngs at Scribble Jam, is featured in a number of Grindtime battles, and for the last four years, has been the winner of the Ohio Hip Hop Award for "Best Battle Rapper" ('07-'10).
