DESCRIPTION:
Jethro Tull were formed in the late 60's and released their debut album This Was in 1968. They have been touring and recording almost constantly ever since, have registered no.1 albums on both sides of the Atlantic, achieved a succession of gold and platinum albums and won a Grammy award.
Living With The Past is a new Jethro Tull live collection. Primarily recorded at Hammersmith Apollo in November 2001, it also features tracks from Paris and Holland in 1999, Zurich in 1989, some acoustic tracks from January 2002 and a reunion of the original 1968 line up (Ian Anderson, Mick Abrahams, Clive Bunker, Glenn Cornick), also from January 2002.
The line up for the Hammersmith recordings (tracks 1-11 & 21), the Paris track (12) and the Dutch tracks (18-19) is:
Ian Anderson -- Vocals, Flute, Acoustic Guitar
Martin Barre -- Guitars
Doanne Perry -- Drums
Andrew Giddings -- Keyboards
Jonathon Noyce -- Bass
This line up also does the acoustic tracks (13-14) with the addition of a small strings section. Dave Pegg plays bass on the Zurich tracks (15-17).
This is the first official live album since the primarily acoustic A Little Light Music ten years ago. Prior to that was the classic Bursting Out album in 1978.
The album will be supported by advertising in Classic Rock, Mojo, Uncut and the national press.
There will be promotion to the Jethro Tull fanbase via their mailing list and the UK fan club magazine A New Day.
