Tru Smoke Diezel

New York/New Jersey based metal band Tru Smoke Diezel formed in 1998 as Mike Affinito (Vocals), Jay (Guitar), John Johnson (Drums), Anthony Maniaci (Bass) and Joe Wilkinson (Guitar) respectively. From '98 to '02 TSD performed at many venues both locally and nationally to very receptive crowds. Their sound has been compared to Pantera/Machine Head among others, they like to describe it as "The Forgotten Art Of Pure Heaviness". After a three year hiatus, the band played a local reunion show which was a major success. However, change was on the horizon which led to the joining of Tim Allen (Guitar). TSD then performed at many local gatherings with new material which will be released sometime in 2008. Expect to see Tru Smoke Diezel throughout the new year performing locally (and possibly nationally) in support of their upcoming release. In a sad time where fluff outweighs substance and image outshines talent, give Tru Smoke Diezel a listen They are the real deal.
