TROPICS

Picking a band name is always a pain in the arse. Especially if it doesn't come quickly. No-one is ever gonna have a name as good as "The Nation Of Ulysses" so you're kinda stuck from the start.



For anyone that has checked out Tropics before you will now know that Matt, Dan and Robin have moved on to more prolific pastures in the forms of Fair Oh's, Cold Pumas and Male Bonding. Tropics has since managed to absorb/sponge three of the guys who used to play in the awesome and calculating Meet Me In St Louis and now has a different sound to it's original line-up. You can come up with your own references if you like when you hear it but generally it's really fun for us. It's practically a new band and should really warrant a new name but that's too much effort. Even though it's no "The Nations of Ulysses" it'll do and we can move on with everything else. Plus, Matt (who originally came up with the name) said it was cool to keep it, so ner.



We're gonna be playing some shows this summer and putting up new songs and hopefully releasing some of the music too.
