The Transform Quintet is one of the most inventive and unique jazz
bands from Hungary. In the decade they have been together, the Transform Quintet has
developed a type of jazz unique to them. Their music is a blend of mainstream jazz and
classical-romanticism that also incorporates elements of world music, electronica and film scores. TTQ has integrated unique crossovers into their pieces that add an unusual flavour to their style. The quintet’s eclectic approach to music is played with such dynamic
power that they are without a doubt one of the many outstanding young bands thriving in the European jazz scene today.
You can always recognize musical telepathy among these five people, improvising with lyricism, passion, and virtuosity.Their style is based on sophisticated taste, and played with special talent and joy. Members of the band have played together with artists such as Joey Calderazzo, the Vasil Hadzimanov Band, The Tarantinos
Among others, the band has shared stages with artists such as Archie Shepp,
Incognito and Level 42.

"Atmospheric Hungarian fusion jazz band drawing on a mix of driving modal jazz, grand film score style melodies, punchy Latin and funk rhythms topped with virtuosic solos. Playing music from their latest album 'Another Child' (which features acclaimed pianist Joey Calderazzo) they play two nights this week - tomorrow at the Dean Street Pizza Express."
