"Creating my music as I hear it in my head will make me a very happy spirit."
Who is trishanne?
trishanne is singer/songwriter who stumbled across her gifts. She began singing as a child although her main focus back then was acting and this took up the majority of her childhood years. After discovering poetry and melodies, she began teaching herself to play the guitar and write acoustically. Choosing a 12-string because of the "orchestral sounds that it seems to simulate", giving her a visualization of where a song can go on production.
During her early years she busked on the London underground as she learned to play and studied Sound. More Recently, she has been taking her own work out to the wider audience and gaining a reputation for being a great songwriter, people say, “that she writes the songs people need to hear”. Opening the show at The House of Commons for the first Diwali festival Celebrations ever held in Parliament in 2004, and for The Indian Federation in Paris in 2005 with her song Earth.
trishanne's basis for her song writing is around an holistic sense of healing and says "for some strange reason I have been blessed to write some very deep world songs…. Music comes from my heart and if asked what my influences are, I usually reply, “everything I listen to”. My main mentor would have to be Tracy Chapman who inspired my first melodic world poem. Beautiful melodies come from the heart, allowing every emotion to flow through you. Drawing on experience gives way to natural words about moments or issues". "Words arrive from a need to resolve and heal, in the world or personal life. This is where I work from, a place of realness and a readiness to share".

"So, I heard, India Arie, Bahamadia, Joan Armatrading, but mostly "trishanne herself". Wicked voice!!
Promoter at Popworld Promotes
I don’t know too much about this girl but she’s got a cracking voice and a good vocal range. She describes her early influence as Tracy Chapman and that’s quite obvious in her voice but she also reminds me a bit of the 4 non blondes singer (anybody remember them?!). Trishanne, you should get in touch with the boys at Popworld Promotes and get a slot on one of their acoustic nights.
