A combination of personal, self-analytical lyrics sung with the feelings of a lost soul searching for the one true place in the innermost universe while being guided on the path to peace by a tortured flow of confessional expressionistic composition which, although sometimes straying very close to the edge of the path, always manages to stay true to the goal of seeking out the ultimate prize.

Come and be a part of this fantasy.

BEAUTIFUL

this track opens with a strong gambit - it is one of the hardest things in the world to do - namely, programme convincing, realistic orchestral string arrangements. and an admirable job has been done here - with the deft touch of someone that intrinsically understands the interplay of the ranges available twixt the deep, deep lows of the contrabass to the mellow emotive yearning of the violoncello, through the evocative, plaintive platitudes of the viola and thence into the soul-soaring upper reaches of which the violin is capable

as the intro offers itself up, in the most sultry of ways, to the first verse. the husky vocals - placed right up front in the mix, (very intimate.) lead us into the kind of electronic based music that I only wish there was more of. there's hints of the Sneaker Pimps in here and more than a vague allusion to Portishead. those hyper-effected vocals - but that's high praise indeed, and nothing to be ashamed of. the track itself has a gossamer, dreamlike quality to it gently tugging one this way and that. occasionally stopping dead for dramatic effect, and like being awoken, mid-dream. and settling back to try and remember where you were, the sublime mix of what is and what might be mingle deep down in your psyche. I only wish she were singing at me. for me. to me.

.this is as lush as it gets, and as I understand it, the album is available on itunes. and deservedly so.sublime AND sexy.

PRINCESS

more reminiscent of Zero7 this one - and the production - from the deep ultra compressed thud of the bass drum to the bleeps and bloops - and the lovely subtlety of the sparkly guitar and Theremin melody is ubercool.

.now apparently she's just a princess in a science-fiction world and I for one would love to be there too. and in the most buckle-swashing of ways indulge in the twisty-turny romanticism of whatever is going on behind this most sultry of voices.

this is highly evocative stuff, charged with sexual tensions and an uplifting, though melancholic strangeness that I for one know shall stay with me for quite some time.

.best listened to late at night, I would imagine, and in the most intimate of surroundings.

Tripstar have QUALITY written ALL over them, and the great shame is, that in amongst the pre-packaged, homogenised, pre-sterilised, pop-pap-cacky spoon-fed ultra-shi*te of the commercial music world, they may never gain the recognition that they most assuredly deserve. but who knows

SNOW

The atmosphere you have created is awesome. The vocals are mesmerizing and the production is raw but fits and adds to the general dark feeling.

This is truly original music and I love it.

COME TO ME (Hardleaders Edit)
