Forming in early 2005 to play a show to conclude Youth Week in Bowral, Triggermoose became quite well known in a relatively short time. They played many local shows in the early years, and established a solid, growing fan base around the NSW Southern Highlands.
Fusing modern guitar-rock with classic influences, Triggermoose developed a brand that was as original as it was traditional. You'd hear the influence of artists such as Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighters, and Jimi Hendrix in early Triggermoose works, coming together in a fresh blend of classic and modern rock music.
May 2007 marked the end of an era, with Triggermoose parting ways with long time friend and guitar player Scott Halls. He played some great riffs over the years and was an integral part of Triggermoose's unique sound.
Recruiting new guitarist Brendan Gregory in October 2007 paved the way for a new, more mature sound, taking the old and meshing it with the new for something completely different. Adding more of a hard rock / alternative vibe to the mix added another layer to an already diverse sound.
In April 2009, Triggermoose decided to take a break. Not much was happening, and other things were beginning to take priority, so they called it a day.
Come March 2011, previous differences had dissolved, and the original lineup came back together for a one-off gig in Wollongong, supporting local band End Over End's 2nd EP launch.
It was as if nothing had changed - everything worked just the same as it did in early '07.
Now, in May 2011, 4 years later, the original four are back with new guitarist Brendan Biddle, now a 5-piece, and working on a new record.
