Treetops

Treetops II are an uber-intense, enthusiastic and still wide eyed group of 5 high school friends who have been performing and creating music together for 8 years in various incarnations and states of success. Treetops I were a guitar pop band prematurely uncovered and put on display in front of large crowds supporting and touring with the likes of: The Breeders, Nada Surf, Mercury Rev, Evan Dando, The Vines, Spiral Stairs and Ben Lee amongst many others. 3 critically acclaimed E.P's worth of material were released and one debut album shelved. Local music industry tripped over themselves to sign the guys up and much money and back slapping was thrown around before the band imploded in the usual manner of cliches, broke up and returned to under the rock. The 5 musicians took time out for other activities including psychedelic harmony collective The T.M Band and jangle pop crew The Brutals.

A recent reformation for an Australian 3 week tour found the boys playing longer, harder, stranger and slowly morphing into a musical beast concurrent with their new mind state, and with the strength that comes from a tight knit group who have been through so much and come out the other side they are more ready than ever for creation, performance and adventure.
