Welcome to the wonderful world of Tyrannosaurus Records. My name is Adam Duritz. I'm a member of Counting Crows. I started this little indie record label with my friend Nicole Pierce. She used to be one of my band's managers and now she's my partner. We started our label because we met an MC from Brooklyn named NOTAR who was just so good we decided we needed to start our own record label just so we could make records with him. Then we met some boys from Chicago in a band called Blacktop Mourning and we just couldn't stop listening to their demo so we decided we needed to make records with them too.

Next thing you know, T-Recs was born.

In case you were wondering, that's how you go from liking someone's music to accidentally running a record label. Careful or it'll happen to you.

Anyway, welcome to our brand spankin' new MySpace page. Check us out here, check the links to our bands' MySpace pages, or just visit our website at http://www.TyrannosaurusRecords.net (in case you're worried about it, the trick is there are 2 "n"'s in Tyrannosaurus. All the other letters pretty much come one at a time).

I'll be here checking the mail some of the time and so will Nicole. Our friend Emily's gonna keep an eye on the site the rest of the time so come by and check our shit out.

Blacktop Mourning's debut album "No Regret" is recorded, mixed, and mastered and due out May 15th by the way. Counting Crows guitar player Immy and I (also known as "The Devil And The Bunny Show") co-produced the record with Blacktop's lead guitarist/songwriter Max Steger. You can see them down at South BY Southwest in Austin on May 15th at Stubb's. They're playing two sets that night.

The Devil And The Bunny Show also co-produced some demos for NOTAR, which you can hear right here on our MySpace page, and we're just about to get started on his debut album with several different producers, hopefully for release sometime later on in the year.

So come hang out, check out the tunes, add us, tell your friends.you know.all that shit. We'll be here waiting.

I also just started my own online magazine. It's all about the music and the books and the DVD's I love. So please check it out. Maybe you'll find something you love too. Click the link here:
