It's midnight. You're out of gas. As you veer from the country road, your headlights scan the empty field. Suddenly, a lonely, masked figure fills the light. You try to scream, but all you hear is the pulse in your temples as the Toxic Avenger yanks the rip-chord of a rusty chainsaw.
Named one of Rolling Stone Magazine's "Artist to Watch", the story of The Toxic Avenger (AKA Simon Delacroix) is like a warped VHS copy of a snuff film. He joined a grown-up Parisian hardcore band at age twelve. By age 22 he was packing venues with a growling new sound that left the faint at heart weak in the knees. Today Simon Delacroix is more than a paradigm-shifting producer (Roy Music-Universal), he's a world-renowned remixer (Ladytron, Peaches, FF5, Chromeo, Beni Benassi feat Kelis). An iconic DJ, and diabolical hero of his own, twisted, grind-house epic.
As a producer, The Toxic Avenger smashes through the windshield of electronic music, grabs it by the throat, and drags its body into the night where it is bathed in light and the terrible roar of his machine. His trademark, crime scene noir, coupled with the stomach-knotting ruthlessness of bass, defies all logic, inspiring an entirely new way of thinking about dance music.
To The Toxic Avenger, the dance floor is his theater, his audience, and his prey. He saws at the crowd with mind-scrambling spirals of gunmetal. He fires from speaker stacks with cinematic shrieks that dive down your brain stem and electrocute the body. No one can escape. Like the Ace of Spades, his calling card is to leave all his victims begging for more. Stalking the shadows of Paris, The Toxic Avenger spreads his reign of terror from Europe, to the US, Latin America, Asia, Australia, and South Africa; playing along side acts like Run Dmc, Crystal castles, Lil jon, SebAstian, the death set, Diplo, Jamaica,

Following up 2007's Superheroes EP, 2008's Bad Girls Need Love Too, 2009's Toxic is Dead and Scion CD Sampler Vol. 26, Delacroix is fresh off the release of his 2 latest EPs, N'importe Comment, a collaboration with controversial Parisian rap iconoclast, Orelsan (#1 of the French TV music video charts airplay in 2010) and Angst one on which he invited his friends SomethingAlamode and their violins to create the magic bridge on this hybrid track both deeply melodious and radically electronic.
The summer of 2011 will be a incredible time for The Toxic Avenger as he goes for his first big kill in the form of a feature-length LP entitled, "ANGST". Hatched in Morocco. "ANGST" is a diverse, pop-format bloodbath: punk-electro, dark folk, bliphop anthems, and of course, his trademark thriller beats; crafted along with a conspiracy of elite vocalists he met down his Parisian avenue or along the road: Annie (NO), Simon elle est bonne (FR), Lexicon (US), BonjourAfrique (FR), South central (UK), Messinian (US)
"ALIEN SUMMER" a fantastic electro pop song and the result of his collaboration with Norwegian singer ANNIE will drop out in april 2011 as the last announcement of Toxic avenger's Gourmet album.
As this dark figure continues to cast an ever-expanding shadow over the world, the legend of his power grows….

FRANCAIS - THE TOXIC AVENGER
Sur la foi de trois maxis incontournables dans l'underground electro (Superheroes, Bad Girl Needs love too, Toxic is Dead) The Toxic Avenger s'est taillé une place de leader auprès de l'élite des DJ electro internationaux.
Signé sur l'écoute de son Myspace par le plus hype des label de Los Angeles, Iheart Comix, l'histoire de Toxic démarre comme un conte de fée.
Un pseudo piqué à un chef d'œuvre de la société Troma. Un passé hip-hop (Ed Wood Is Dead) et hardcore. Un culte voué à Morrissey. Un hymne gavé de haine (Saloperie De Minimale), un EP citant Bauhaus (Toxic Is Dead, 2009) et une production pour Orelsan. Tout cela, mais pas N'importe Comment : The Toxic Avenger est simplement multiple. Ce background éclaté est d'ailleurs pour beaucoup dans la richesse musicale du jeune Parisien, qui pousse le son dans ses derniers retranchements pour mieux caler des mélodies intrépides. Pas un hasard si des maîtres tels Switch ou Juan MacLean ont remixé ces tracks vicelards. Un condensé de violence au service de l'intelligence – et vice-versa – qui s'est offert pour la première fois en version live aux TransMusicales.
Adulé autant par le NME (UK) que par Lady Gaga (qui lui a prêté son équipe de tournage pour le clip Toxic Is Dead), il a remixé ses idoles comme Chromeo, Late of The Pier, Todd Edwards ou Juan Mc Lean. Ses derniers remixs ? : Benni Benassi feat Kelis & Black Eyes Peas ou pour les newcommers South Central.
Signé par Roy Music début 2010, le premier single est un succès public avec le track electro-hip hop "N'importe Comment" featuring Orelsan. Succés TV notamment avec un concept original sur le phénomène Facebook adapté à la vie réelle.
Composé entre Paris, L.A. et Essaouira au Maroc (où il est resté pendant un mois pour finaliser), le premier album de The Toxic Avenger va s'imposer comme un des albums majeurs en 2011, oscillant entre electro exigeante et mélodieuse (le fil conducteur ANGST one, two three, four) mais aussi electro pop (avec Annie, Brisa Roché, Simone elle Est Bonne) voire électro-hip hop (Orelsan, Lexicon, South Central).
Sa tournée passe actuellement par L.A., Mexico, San Francisco, Marseille, Paris, Sydney, Berlin,…
Pour soutenir cet album hors norme, The Toxic Avenger s'associe sur scène avec un power duo Guitare-Batterie, Bonjour Afrique, pour former un vrai groupe de scène électro-rock aux sonorités denses et singulières, dont les débuts aux Transmusicales de Rennes en décembre 2010 a été décrit par les Inrocks comme un "orgasme hurlant". La tournée commence en mars avec Le Printemps de Bourges et sur les meilleures scènes de rock en France (La Laiterie, L'Olympic, Le Nouveau Casino.)
