To Our Grave CTM Show

While many bands are rarely together for barely a year or two. To Our Grave has been together writing, recording, playing shows since 1998, when most members were 16 -18 years old. Besides a few drummer changes the band has had the same members for the duration of the band.

When we first hit the metal/hardcore/underground scene we played under the name Lychgate. And after 4 years of countless self produced recorded demos, self produced albums and the EP entitled Death Guaranteed. During the recording of the EP Death Guaranteed is when we changed our name to: To Our Grave. We recorded at Spider Studio in Cleveland, by Ben Schligel the producer of Chimiara, Walls Of Jericho, It dies Today, Ringworm and Misery Signals. The EP Death Guaranteed was self distributed at local shows to regional shows all around the area at different venues, and by the band members and crew. With all 2,000 self funded EP's that were made combined with the amount of shows that were played all EP's were sold.

During the time we played as many shows as we could possible and had the opportunity to be able to play/support the likes of Shadows Fall, All That Remains, Full Blown Chaos, Dry Kill Logic, If Hope Dies, Misery Signals, Manntis, Gizmachi, Drowning Pool, Walls Of Jericho, Madball, Dog Fashion Disco, Hatebreed, Most Precious Blood, Mushroomhead, Ventana, Dope, Byzantine, 3 Inches Of Blood, Gwar, Flaw, Switched, Bury Your Dead, Suicide Silence, Since the Flood, Stick to your Guns and countless regional and local acts. With all 2,000 self funded EP's that were made and the amount of shows that were played all EP's were sold.

After the EP was released we had a contact with some smaller indie labels to fund the next album etc Long story short the label we choose to work with went bankrupt, with no money left. Our tour money was insufficient, the booking agent was left out of communications. So the whole deal didn't exactly work out, which was really stressful for us all. So with all the money involved for the funding of albums, mixing, tours, merch etc.we decided to take a break and get some money and rethink our way to operate our band
Fast forward to today: Our time to make music is now! Were writing insane breakdowns, heavy, energetic and fun songs to mosh to and girls to shake their ass to: Our hiatus is over: We are getting this ready for the spring. We want all you guys and girls to most importantly have a great time at our shows. So stop by and hang out with us, were always up for something crazy.
