The former hobby became his destiny, and resulting in stints as A&R for Music Research (1992) and Harthouse/EyeQ Records (1993), and in 1995 the founding of his own Phuture Wax label. He also became the host of the radio-show called „Sounds“ on YouFM in 2003, a radio station he was already affiliated to as one of the resident DJs of it’s „Clubnight“, one of the longest running and most widely-known DJ-Mix radio shows, where he still regularly spins his tracks. Since 2010 Tom hosts his own radio-show „Phuture Sounds“ on Big City Beats FM, a German online radio-station that is completly focused on electronic music.
In addition to his productions with the likes of Marusha, Dr.Motte, Talla 2XLC, Mijk van Dijk, Ian Oliver, Terry Lee Brown Jr., The Timewriter, Franksen, Alex Stadler,Strobe,Jan Jacarta or JamX & DeLeon he remixed artists like Erasure, Jam&Spoon, Steve Pointdexter, Yello, The Shamen, Hardfloor,Sparks,Tomcraft, Mesh,Cosmic Baby,John Starlight and many more.
The beginning of the new millenium marked a new chapter for Tom, as he sinced focused his enery and creativity on his productions as a solo-artist on his own Phuture Wax label in cooperation with Universal Music.
While working with his school buddy and production partner Thorsten Adler from the early days of the electronic music scene up to 2002, he has since joined forces with Boris Alexander, his new studio and production partner. Together they work @ Phuture Wax Soundlab and release on labels like Big & Dirty, High Contrast, Klang Gymnastik, Harthouse or Frisbee Tracks are the results of this dynamic collaboration.
In 2007 Tom & Boris received the special honour of performing Dvorak’s 9th symphony together with the synfonic orchestra of the Hessicher Rundfunk under star conductor Parvo Järvi live and to a sold out house, underlaying the classical composition with electronic beats, and creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience for those present, resulting in frenetic applause and praise from their audience.
2008 marked the launch of the new „Pretty Girls don’t dance“ label, again together with Boris Alexander. That year saw the release of their two longplayers „Nightflight Entertainement“ and „Do Pretty Girls Dance?“, both showcases for their musical creativity. In 2009 Tom teamed up with Franksen, DJ & radio-show host of the legendary YOU FM Clubnight and their latest productions, released on labels like Plastic City,Salted Music US,Dieb Audio and BCB Tech got huge support from the DJ-scene around the world.
