Experimenting back in 1992 with a unique blend of hip-hop, R&B and pop. TLC created a sound that eventually stamped a new era in music and paving the way for many artist out today. The trio charted four Billboard Top 10 singles off their debut album, Ooooooohhh.on the TLC Tip. The empowering girl group help fade out the CrazySexyCool era with their biggest single ever, Waterfalls in the summer of 1995. The society-inspiring mega hit spent seven weeks at No. 1, making it one of the most successful songs by a female group ever. CrazySexyCool became “Best-Selling Hip-Hop Album of All Time” according to Guinness World Records in 1998. It accomplished as one of the first albums ever to receive a diamond certification plaque by the RIAA: signifying 10 million records sold. Early 1999, TLC proved they still had reign in the music industry. The monsterous group topped the charts for the third time with No Scrubs for the follow-up third LP, Fanmail. The record was dedicated to the fans. Later that summer for the fourth and last time with the self-esteemed Unpretty, spending nearly a month at No. 1. But what defines TLC are their personalities and a sound that we'll never forget. The crazy sexy cool trio isn't like any other group whom can replace a member and call it a day. The chemistry they have amongst the three is indisputable. On April 25, 2002, the groups future was put in jeopardy.
