TKO - Parameter II Official DJ

Biography "Amazing original material." (Knowledge Magazine) "T.K.O

have been making

dance floor smashing tunes for a while now. Really happy with our 'Therapy' collaboration, with that one the guys proved that

they are truly versatile

producers. wicked DJs too." {Adam F}

THEIR

SOUND: "We mix up our range of dance music influences,

which bring about our own unique flavour, perfect for the dance

floor."

THEIR HISTORY: It was the success of their very own dance floor anthem 'Rolf Harris' that

really got things going for them. Securing them a firm place in J Majiks Infrared Records camp, as well as a residency at

the hugely popular Break Beat Kaos nights at Fabric, & the beginning of absolute monstrous support from key players within

the scene & regular appearances on BBC Radio One. All this was followed by Therapy & Circles Remix, collaborations alongside

Adam F - which were featured on 'Junglesound The Bassline Strikes Back' - Break Beat Kaos, which was declared

'The

Drum&Bass Album Of The Year!' (BBC Radio 1), releases with

Dogs On Acid's Under Construction imprint, Nookie's Strictly Digital as

well as their own label projects Abstract Inc, Abstract VIP & Builtl2Last Recordings.

T.K.O's music has received numerous plays across a whole range of

media outlets including: BBC

Radio 1, BBC

1Xtra, Kiss 100,

Choice, KoolFM,

Pyrotechnicradio.com>, Life FM, not

forgetting the all important dance floor: where support for their tracks has

come from many of the scenes elite including Grooverider, Adam F, DJ Fresh, Pendulum, J Majik and the legendary. DJ

Hype.

PARAMETER II:

Parameter II was hooked by the whole DJ experience from in & around 1993

but by 1997 had begun to create some beats of his own, & thats where he

found his real calling. Over the next few years he had a whole host of

hits both as Parameter II & under the guise of Audio Species across a

whole variety of imprints, which include Hard Leaders, the ever prominent

Formation Records, Sinuous & Wide Open Music amongst others. During this

time he released 27 singles, continually played out at various events all over the UK as well as select dates throughout Europe. Its also important to note that his production techniques are by no means confined to the realm of drum & bass, Parameter II has also had a whole host of hits with the increasingly sphere of Nu Skool Breaks which

include release on the award winning Streetwise Recordings.

He then went on to join forces with Shakka to form TKO.

SHAKKA:

Shakka has been entertaining crowds as a DJ since in & around 1991 both in the UK & across the globe. Highlights of his DJ

career to date have been hosting BreakBeat Kaos events @Fabric, Infrared launch party @Scala, Adam F's ground breaking

'Colours' album launch tour, Luckyspin @The End, 'Voodoo Magic' for Moving Shadow, full moon party in Thailand & festivals in

France & Belgium. As for his productions Shakka was fortunate enough to have the legendary Adam F as a production mentor, in

fact Shakka has been part of Adam F's glittering career since its inception, which has meant witnessing the creation of many

a seminal hit inlcuding the likes of 'Colours', 'Metropolis' & 'Brand New Funk'.

The first single that I put out from TKO was a

huge success, and recently they have collaborated with Adam F on the massive

'Junglesound' LP which showcases there varied style. These guys have got a

lot of hot material in the pipeline, so keep a beady eye' (J

Majik)

Now re-definied as a solo artist as well as continuing his journey with

Shakka as TKO, PII has a lot in the pipeline for this coming year and beyond, seeing

him once more turn his hand to Nu Skool Breaks and various other styles including brand new down-tempo project 'The Nifty'.

Last year see the launch of PII's own label projects Solé Recordings & Solé Digital, which have rapidly gained support with

many of the scenes big hitters.

With 49 releases to date & material

forthcoming in both the liquid funk & hard edged dancefloor realms, performances under his belt in various countries such as

UK & Channel Islands, Holland, France, Russia, Germany, South Africa; 2009 looks set to be a productive year.

Look out for forthcoming collaborations with Miss Wendy and various artists.

"Grover Washington Jr., Herbie Hancock, and

George Benson all sitting in a smokey studio and speeding up the beats.

Superbly soulful atmospherics. Blood-heating rhodes loops, strings of

splendor, and tickling vocoder hints. With a beat built to last indeed.

Solid state 2005" (DJ MAGAZINE)

"Well produced dancefloor action." (M8

Magazine)
