One day while getting in trouble, Aaron happened upon the closet in the front door entry way of his house back in a rural dust bowl of a town in Texas.

He discovered in the closet something way cooler than what those twerps in Narnia found. At the ripe old age of 8, he found his mother's guitar. The thing had to be at least 15 years old (at the time that Aaron was 8, the year was 1990, when was Aaron born?). Alas, it was true, the thing was waaaay older than Aaron had expected, but his parents had kept it from him because he did as any boy his age with nothing to do would do.(what?).he destroyed things. He had a knack for taking things apart but never the knack for putting them back together. This would be a problem: boy vs. wooden guitar would lead to boy 1, wooden guitar 0 (also, the defeat would leave the guitar in shambles and then in the trash can). Therefore, visa vie, hitherto, and concordantly, Aaron was denied use of the guitar until he came of age (which meant he wasn't allowed to touch it because he would make Godzilla seem like a shitzu puppy).

Fast forward a few years and you'll find that Aaron was only allowed to listen to contemporary Christian music. Because that was pretty boring, we'll fast forward to his middle school years.which were equally awkward and boring.so, fast forward to high school, which was less boring and slightly less awkward but more boring (so how awkward was it?).

This is where he discovered the Talking Heads, Bowie, Queen, Simon and Garfunkle, MxPx, Five Iron Frenzy, The Foo Fighters and so on (although he often had internal conflicts about listening to this music because at church they often had nights where people would bring in the secular music and smash it.it think this started with the Beatles, but I could be wrong.).

Rewind just a little bit to fill in the gaps, Aaron began playing guitar at 13 (and at 25 he's still trying to figure it out). And to his credit, he never broke the guitar.it was the baggage handlers at a Mexican airport that did the honors. Seriously.

Then one day, all of the music that his parents had been holding on out him came rushing out whenever he got to listen to 92.5 KZPS (God rest it's soul) and his mother knew all of the words (to be more accurate, this was probably, sporadically, when he was in the single digit age range, and then more frequently when he was in the double digit age range). Then his father admitted to loving CCR (the real CCR, not Creedence Revistited, not Cross Canadian Ragweed, but Creedence Clearwater Revival.everything else is a Gap knock off to this Levi's original).

Then Aaron discovered the Police, The Beatles (best moment was when his cousin bought him Sgt. Pepper's) and so on.

Of course, just like almost every other strife riddled, adolescent angered boy, he went through the jock-rock phase.there was some Creed, maybe some Limp Bizkit (*shudder*), and whatever else that was made popular by popular radio. These were the mere chaff that was blown away in the wind and later pounded into dust by the elements. No, those false idols no longer remain.

Just the wheat. And hopefully, this page, this music that you find, is what was left whenever the grains of truth and hope were planted in the fertile young soil of this boy's (now a guy) heart. Soon and very soon, he will begin taking things hella seriously.

Until then, remember
