NO COVER! All ages. Kid friendly.

House of Mercy Recordings has now released 28 recordings—from Charlie Parr to the House of Mercy
Band to Tim O'Reagan to the Urban Hillbilly Quartet...and many others—and we've decided to start a
regular showcase for our artists. The first Friday of each month we'll gather at Ginkgo Coffee in St. Paul
to hear some of the artists whose music we love and have released.

About February's artists:

"Local songwriter Erik Brandt leans toward the rootsier side of rock with the Urban Hillbilly Quartet, but he's given himself a chance to stretch stylistic muscles on his first solo disc, Green Eyed Alone. Brandt still plays plenty of Wilco-esque Americana, but he also weaves in somber piano instrumentals..."

Roe Family Singers (duo)
- The Roe Family Singers are a Good-Time, Old-Time Hillbilly band from the Mississippi-
headwaters community of Kirkwood Hollow, MN. Led by wife & husband Kim Roe (Best Female
Vocalist, City Pages/Village Voice) and Quillan Roe (Accident Clearinghouse), the band blends
characteristic old-time sound with rock & roll urgency and influence.

Becky Schauer
- Becky enjoys playing folk music, and has played the ukulele for about a year. She has
not written any Grammy-winning songs (or any song for that matter.. yet). As a preacher's
daughter, she sang solos and in church choirs growing up. Her latest audience - her kids - who
are both flattering and critical all at the same time.
