The first Tidal warning was sounded in 2000, with a few line up changes and a style change, the band released the sophomore EP Ultra Violet. The EP stayed in the local charts for more than 6 months and had the most played single of 2004. Ibanez Guitars quickly snapped up the song "Swell" for an ad campaign and with this quick success, helped Ultra Violet to sell out and a repressing with multimedia put back on the shelves. Having been asked to support the likes of Pacifier, Superheist and the Testeagles in their home town, Tidal were lucky enough to be invited to play at the 2004 Big Day Out with International Heavyweights Metallica, Muse, Lost Prophets, Thursday, Poison the Well, The Butterfly Effect, Blood Duster and many more.

Late 2004 saw Tidal sign to GreasyPop Records/MGM for the release of the much anticipated debut album "IMPULSIVE DISTURBANCE" which was engineered and produced by DW Norton of Walk The Earth/Superheist/ The Burns Unit fame.

With a new batch of hard hitting, much more experimental, progressive songs in tow, Tidal will now concentrate on touring extensively and work towards the new release due out mid/late 2008. Laser My Words
