Tiana Hux (MC Sweet Tea)

Performance artist tiana hux raps with The Headband in Austin and directs other artists/musicians in theatrical shows around her rap music in New Orleans, LA, Austin and Mexico.
Before inventing honkytonkpunkrockhiphop-burlesque in New Orleans pre Katrina, Tiana made music, film and theatre in austin, tx for 10 years. This work culminated in her role as da soap opera woman in rick linkslacker's 2001 animated feature, Waking Life.

In New Orleans, she calls this show MC sweet tea and da tastee hotz. The show includes elaborately costumed show girlz, B-boys, DJ's and other randoms. (Her ZZtop cover band, ZZtopless reached legendary proportions and will ride again.) These freaks went international and you don't stop.
She relocated to LA after hurricane katrina and performed as MC tiana hux with the fingered dancers and they were great but it was kid of a bummer, after all.
Her second full length work, Animal Ball, was recorded live in New Orleans at Preservation Hall, where it premiered Halloween 2010. A 10 song, Hip Hopera combined elements of rock/hip hop and classical music live with Dance, puppetry, burlesque and children's theatre.
