BIO

Tia McGraff - “soul stirring,” A/C -Americana sweetheart - is making her way back into the spotlight with her latest album, Diversity, released on August 24 2010 through her very own Bandana Records, and already nominated for an award at the Hamilton Music Awards, Nov. 2010!

Produced by Tommy Parham (Come Early Morning-Ashley Judd, Rocks You Can't Move-Lee Greenwood), Diversity is McGraff’s fifth studio album, and the follow-up to 2007’s critically acclaimed Day In My Shoes, which was also nominated for Best Alt Country Recording of the Year at the 2008 Hamilton Music Awards.

To achieve her goal of Diversity, McGraff devoted a lot of time carefully selecting the songs that made the cut and the musicians who recorded them. To ensure a unique quality to every track, McGraff picked musicians from Los Angeles to Toronto, and when it came time to mix, she brought in past studio mates from Nashville, Seattle, and “yes, even Port Dover, Ontario,” laughs McGraff.

Tia McGraff was born in Port Dover, ON, Canada, and began writing and recording at the age of 19. After releasing 2 CDs on her label Bandana Records, and 4 videos on CMT Canada, Tia moved to Nashville to further her writing career. It was here that she met her partner in life and on stage, songwriter/producer Tommy Parham. Together they have released 3 albums; toured main stage festivals and songwriter venues around the world (including the famous Bluebird Café); have songs placed in film/tv and recently had their song, All Of Us, placed in an Australian TV commercial promoting multi-culturalism. Tia's version of the same song was aired in a video on World Youth Day in Sydney in front of the Pope and over 500,000. She has written and recorded with notables Randy Bachman and Dan Hill and Tia's songwriting credits have even led her to the honor of being asked to be a judge at the 2010 Aboriginal Music Awards.

To date, Tia's professionalism and experience have "helped turn Niagara Falls pink" while performing for Estee Lauder's Breast Cancer benefits and graced the international stage of the world class Llangollen Festival in Wales, where she headlined back to back nights with Jose Carreras and Joan Baez!

Tia McGraff is a singer's- singer, songwriter's- writer, and her fans' choice for leading them to "soul stirring" captivation! Whether hearing her live on main stage festivals, or through your favorite headphones or speakers, Tia McGraff will capture your heart with a warmth and honesty that only releases after her last note has faded!
