Short Bio:
Started in Columbia, SC in 1999. Two drummers, four bass players, and minus one guitarist later, we are currently a 3-piece mostly based out of Richmond, VA. We've played with all your favorite bands, and that makes us super cool. We also have music on all kinds of video games such as Major League Baseball 2K5, American Chopper, Big Mutha Truckers 2, NHL 2K6, NHL 2K7, and America's Army. You will hear our music on MTV's Nitro Circus featuring Travis Pastrana, Viva la Bam, Road Rules, Hard Rock Live.etc, etc. We're all blushing now, so we better stop.
Releases: 2 EPs and 3 LPs. The latest recordings, Pig Charmer (2009), Nail (2006); Hell and High Water (2003); and Starve the Dead (2004), are available from the band's website. The band also contributed songs for the Sucking the 70s and Sucking the 70s, Back in the Saddle Again compilations on Small Stone Records.
Some of the bands we've toured/shared stages with: everyone from Clutch, COC, Isis, Eyehategod, Karma to Burn, Year Long Disaster, and Fu Manchu to Cyprus Hill, Kasabian, Sum 41, (no, we're not kidding about those last three), Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, and Ted Nugent.just to name a few. Throttlerod will play with any kind of band, anywhere, anytime.
Festivals: the band has appeared at SXSW, CMJ, HFestival, & the Y101 Birthday Bash.
