After 8 years, 2 or 3 records, and several lineup changes, Three Fantastic has decided its time to take a break. No, we are not dead. We are just taking a nap. In the meantime, go see Kelly play with The Motts, I am Mesmer, Clouseaux, Sideshow Tramps, Steven Reynolds, the gypsy jazz ensemble he plays with on Tuesdays at Brazil on Westheimer, Hilary York, or whoever else he might be playing with. Come see Charles, Truman, and Mike play as Charles P. and the 10%, hear some cheap knock-offs of Three Fantastic tunes mixed in with depressing singer songwriter shit and country, and bug us about doing some more Three Fantastic shows. Maybe we'll do it. We weren't enough of a douchey wimpy indie rock band to be adored by the press, and weren't enough of a cheesy buzz alternashit band to make any money, but maybe we'll return worse than ever. H. L. Mencken once said, "No one ever went broke underestimating the intellegence of the American public." I believe that's true.
