DESCRIPTION: Piano: Coady Green Composer: Thomas S. Pottage
'On Fading Waves' is an essay in pre-compositional architecture. Borne out of mathematical pre-destiny and gestural freedom, the piece conglomerates the strict and the loose into a wave of cluttered rhythmic and melodic information. Echoes of the works own internal symmetry ring out as the piece cascades up and down the piano, supported by almost imperceptible harmonic cries in the higher registers. The piece stutters to a close with a frustrated stumble and a furious bark.
