This Generation Tapes was founded in 2004. Originally planned only as a tape label, TGT has branched out into CD, and vinyl releases. We release music by bands that we like, in genres such as Avant Garde, Neo-Classical, Drone, Shoegaze, Post-Rock, and more. Our roster currently includes Subtract By Two, Kyle Bobby Dunn, Crombie, LKWRM, and releases from other bands/artists as well. TGT attempts a label of a different kind, with design and style as a priority to strengthen our talented artists' releases.

Trouble Everywhere has impeccable hands guiding all of the circular

atmosphere, creating a surreal haze of momentous musicality and spacious

stereo debris. Knowing that there's connections to the late, lamented On!

Air! Library! may also help to explain the firm command these young New

Yorkers grasp in relation to their sonic output. Daylight's For The Birds'

mindset may have a few years under its belt, but the fresh-faced enthusiasm

with which the group approaches their music simply emphasizes a stunning

maturity and energetic giddiness.

The epic solo debut from Subtract By Two member Kyle Bobby Dunn. Creating a more hopeful dynamic into "Music For Medication," Dunn has created beautiful, lush soundscapes that might appear minimal on the exterior, but are in fact quite complex. Uncover the layers of sound this summer.
