Good evening friends & family,

While a great deal of you have been familiar with widescreen for a long time, some of you are brand new to the name. For the latter, I'd like to preface this letter by talking a little bit about the widescreen edition.

As many of you know, widescreen broke up last autumn after a metamorphosis of line-up changes, and the original members involvement in the band slowly dissolved until the band itself fell apart. widescreen has been inactive for nearly a year now.

However, the tracks that were to become our debut full-length album sat dormant, and were never deleted. Recently, Matt has come to me and expressed interest in reviving the band with the intent of restoring the line-up to it's founding members; Matt and I. I agreed, and with that, we have gone back to work on the album, and it is almost done, and should be ready for distribution by the end of the summer.

We'd like to thank all of the people that have ever been associated with the widescreen edition; mark from Labrador Studios, gerard terrill, kyle prouty, dylan smith, ryan walters, and founding member shane prescott. we wish you well in your future endeavors, and we appreciate the support you continue to demonstrate to us through your actions and words.

With that said, widescreen is back in the same incarnation that we have always represented. Matt and I have written all of the music that has ever been associated with the widescreen brand, and therefore we have chosen to return the band to its purest form; the two songwriters. We are the same widescreen you have always known and enjoyed on a personal level.

Don't be mistaken, though; the live show will be more energetic and exciting than ever, as will be revealed shortly. I'll go into more detail on this in the future. As of right now, stay tuned for updates on an official release date for the album. We have gone back to original engineer/producer Daniel E. Warren to finish this project finally, once and for all. The album is titled 'the sins our fathers washed us in'.

Thank you for staying in touch. Matt and I have missed you all horribly. Feel free to contact either of us with any questions you might have regarding this reunion.

God Bless,

Gordon
