There's a lot to be said about a group of emcees that decides to call themselves "The Uhh.!" But ask any member of the group to describe the true essence at the core of their existence and the answer is quite simple; Undeniable Hip-Hop! Being sworn by their mission statement "to respect and refine hip-hop as an art form and as a culture, they've accepted the responsibility of reaching for new levels of creativity without limitations", which are often absent in today's music.



Since first forming in June of 2002, the So Cal collective formerly known as "The Pozerz" has been working diligently with their sights clearly set on one objective.making good music! The Uhh.! consists of four members: DJ Lynx, T.I.E (Take.it.Easy), Rhapsodus (Rhap), and Yep! Stimulated by an "always be thinking outside the box" credo, the group has maintained their commitment to staying innovative and changing the scope of today's hip-hop landscape. Pulling from their influences, ranging from the legendary Marvin Gaye, to local California hip-hop brethren, The Pharcyde, they have created a sound not so typical to their West Coast roots. The approach? A vigorous blend of "golden era" hip-hop foundation, new school relevance, a touch of classic soul and R&B and an ability to bring their traditional witticisms, humor and good, old-fashioned MC presence and energy to any production. It also helps that each group member is a producer, songwriter, lyricist or a combination of all three! With this formula, they have been making their way through their journey and have earned some key "stripes" along the way any aspiring musician would be proud of.



May of 2005 proved to set the scope of their expectations with a victory at the 2005 Battle of the Bands, which earned them a 30-minute slot in front of indie-rock powerhouse, The Walkmen and hip-hop pioneer, Busta Rhymes at University of California at Riverside's annual summer concert "Spring Splash". Also, in October of 2006, The Uhh.! rocked with great reception in front of CA mainstay, The Pharcyde at Pomona College. The latest addition to their ever growing list of progressive accolades came in December of 2008 when they opened for hip hop veterans Kev Brown and LMNO. Their live shows have featured a series of local musicians including The Breakdown, a live band outfit from the Los Angeles area. In addition, members of the group, in whole or in part have performed with the likes of platinum-selling R&B artist Jon B. of Vibezelect Productions, Crown City Rockers, and local frontrunners U-N-I, Emanon, Trek Life, The Procussions, Deux Process and Murs of Living Legends, to name a few. They have also received production assistance from the aforementioned Jon B. and a host of "up and coming" producers including n8e, P.E.B Rocks, LabCat, Agent Smith, J. Bizness, and their DJ, Lynx, all of which have contributed to that increasingly unmistakable "The Uhh.!" sound. Their much anticipated online debut release, "Infinity" was an internet success in August of 2008, with the first installment being offered as a FREE 8 song download for 8 days. The promotion campaign, cleverly titled “U.H.H on 8.8.08”, proves why this witty quartet is often labeled unlike any other group on the market today.



So what’s next for these cats??? The official album in its entirety will be available in January of 2009. In addition to the album, with the several collaborative efforts in the works and live performances being scheduled throughout the upcoming year, The Uhh is on course to give us more of the Undeniable Hip-Hop they pride themselves on offering.STAY TUNED!
