The Truth About Comets are a newly formed metal/hardcore band from Bristol featuring ex-Redefine vocalist Pete Daplyn taking the stage again. Mixing between heaviness and soaring melody, The Truth About Comets make appealing and credible music.

The earliest form of the band stretches back to September 2005 when guitarists Gaz and Owain decided they should put their heads together after realising they both shared the same passion for music and frustrations with their current lack of a band to perform with. The band is completed by drummer Dave THE CAVE and bassist Sam.

In early 2007 the band recorded 2 demo tracks in Bristol with No Warning Shot guitarist Rich, you can hear 'Opera Suite' from that demo on the player now. In October 2007 the band began work on their debut EP, recording with a mobile studio run by Ben Standage (Down I Go). Featuring 3 new tracks the E.P. is available now featuring artwork courtesy of thr33 designs! Check out 'Smokey Shoots The Bandit' and 'Eyes Roll Back' on the player for a bit of a sneak peek and then grab yourself a copy at one of our shows or from here!
