Reviews for 3 Minutes 4U
“Like Morrissey obsessed with Heart, on anti depressants, with one heck of a hook on his hands…” Subba-Cultcha
“All the ingredients are there – golden, chunky, treble-busting guitars, a singer with a perfect balance between vulnerability and shopping-list-reading disinterest, and the almost obscene use of melody throughout.” Frinkmusic
“… an energetic power pop number that bounces you from side to side, upside down and back to front again without wiping the smile from yours and their faces.” Indie-mp3
“… bloody ace, like a scrumptious amalgamation of St. Etienne, The Primitives and Echobelly, all summery, grin-inducing pop.” Playlouder
“… a cocktail of pure uncompromised indie cheer that all but shoots a ray of sunshine out of your speakers.” Roomthirteen
“If you want a foot tapping, finger clicking, hand clapping jolly good time. There is no better place to start than with The Trudy.” Whisperin & Hollerin
“The Trudy are sounding better than ever, good to have them back.” Organ
A statement from Bexx Bissell
It has been decided to release 3 Minutes 4U by the usual download route, and via a brand new medium called the 7" single. This is a new format for recorded sound which needs to be played on something called a record deck. A 7" single looks very much like a Frisbee, but it's smaller in diameter and much flater. It usually has grooves on both sides, and in the centre of each face there is a circular label and a hole. They are always black except when they are another colour; red for example. Apart from those differences a 7" single is very much like a Frisbee, but I would advise against throwing one at a friend, or anyone else for that matter. It will never catch on.
The Trudy have asked me to thank the following people:
Philip Humphreys, Eugene Bezodis, Lana Anderson, Jon Bastable Jnr, Mick Carroll, Andy Whale, Hally, Bill Hiles, Pete Mash and Clare McGratton, but not necessarily in that order because they've all done loads of fantastic and creative stuff above and beyond the call of duty.
Sincerely yours,
Bexx Bissell - Maharishi to The Trudy
