The Trips are a dynamic three-piece band from Melbourne. Their combination of musical talent, harmonies and passion for rock n roll separates them from the typical, pathetic girl band cliché. The Trips raw, garage sound stems from the roots of a mixture of The Vines, The Strokes, The Rolling Stones, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Veruca Salt and Nirvana.
Formed in May 2005, The Trips line-up consists of Erin on guitar, Laura on bass, and finally, Calvin on drums. When The Trips hit the stage they deliver a lively and entertaining set which leaves the audience wanting more. This has led to the development of a dedicated and supportive fan base, who will never miss a show. The Trips have already set alight the stages of The Laundry, the Empress, Ding Dong Lounge, The Commercial Hotel, The Noise Bar and others.
