The Toney Brothers

The Toney Brothers have been ministering in song since 1955. Times have been good and times have been tough but through it all the music has always been a constant message of hope for an eternal home in heaven. We have had the privelege to carry the gospel to so many places that are not possible for others to go.



Terry Toney-

A veteran with the group (starting in 1972), began playing the bass guitar for the four brothers. He now serves as bass singer and emcee for the group. Terry's sense of humor and sincerity are the cornerstone of a Toney Brothers appearance.



George Amon Webster-

Many of you remember Mr. Webster from his eventful career with the legendary Cathedrals quartet. He is a talented arranger as well as an accomplished musician. He most recently owned and operated the heartland boys and the George Amon Webster trio.



Daniel Childs-

This young man comes from a heritage filled with memorable names in the gospel music industry. Daniel’s Grandfather, Cecil Blackwood was baritone singer for the world-famous Blackwood Brothers Quartet for forty-six years. Daniel’s Great-Grandfather, Roy Blackwood, was one of the founding members of the quartet. Daniel was a traveling worship leader for a few years, then he traveled with the Blackwood Gospel Quartet in 2008 and early 2009. We are thrilled to have Daniel singing Tenor for us.



Joe Kitson-

Joe is filling the lead position for the Toney Brothers as of summer of 2009. Many will recognize him from the time he spent with the Dixie Melody Boys. He is the younger brother of Jacob Kitson of Greater Vision. Fans of the Toney Brothers will love hearing his full, big, voice and some will be shocked that he sounds much more mature than his appearance would imply. We are thrilled to have such a fine young man with a heart for God, traveling and contributing to our history.



Together, these four men bring to the stage an overall outstanding blend of vocal harmony, comedy, and a heartfelt message.
