Acid and sarcastic critics of everything that surrounds us, always starting with those rational animals that surrounds us, known as human beings and other forms of apparently intelligent viral life. To resume, The Sweet Metal Band SMB, is a total bad intentioned and politically incorrect band. With only one goal. Whether if you like it or not, you cant stay passive for those short moments when theyre on stage. Will they make it this time?
The Sweet Metal Band was officially born in Valencia in 1999 although most of its members have been in this music business for over 10 years in different groups, most of them unknown. Since the SMB started to give concerts in 1999 (already over 100 and are going in crescendo) theyve played with other groups like: Jon Spencer Blues Explosión, Sôber, Aina, Koma, Ktulu, Grass, Monkey Hole, Morgana Vs. Morgana, Skasico, No aloha, Tenpel, The suns, Tom Cary, O Chorizo, Chorra N rock , Los de Marras, Home insane, Code name, Vértigo, Jihad, P.I.B., Inadaptads, Golem, Voltor, Esgaroth, Dracony, Wartime, Akela, Ultimasentencia, Supermosca, Dizzy Noise, Po-rock, Negramagia, Forever slave, Juicio de Dios, La ostia, La mano cornuda, Beside Yourself, Espankto, Al acecho, Varrio Sesamo, Kontrapunto, Sindikato fumeta, Antonomasia, Sr. Anderson, Big Gun, End-less, Trust, Perkances, Konfusion, Melkahia, DSM. and for sure more than one of us has been forgotten Not to mention that David, the drummer, hung out with Don Cikuta on tour around USA and Mexico before living his first concert with SMB.
To stand out the participation as finalists in Circuit rock 2006 , in LLigamosques de Olot 2006 and in the Villa de Madrid Universimad San Isidro 2006, where they played among others with: Def con dos, Sex museum, Hora zulu, Sidonie y Skalariak ; in the Alacuas rock festival, The Mostra de rock Alacuas (the Robinju association); in the two first editions of Festival Ventall Rock Aldaya, Xirivella Rock, Taronja Rosk Picanya, Circuit of Rock 2004 where we were selected, and in the Emergenza 2004 where we reached the semi final of Valencia. Weve also played in The Nits joves, and Festes del Crist de Aldaya, like in La Sala Anoeta in Vigo, Number One of Calatayud, Rock Rincón of Benalmadena, The Stereo hall in Alicante and the stone scene of Canara in Murcia (thanks to Dracony), among others Also to mention other halls of Valencia where weve played like: Toro bravo, Paberse Matao, Rocksala, So what, Zepelin, Fenix, Rock Cafe, Sexto Sentido, Tres historias, Beberte, Discoteca Cala, República.
Regarding records, weve recorded in studio a total of 3, self financed and distributed, by ourselves: Desolation winds 2001, Fucking World 2003, In Power We Trust 2006. The SMB entered a studio for the first time in the beginning of year 2000, recording a demo with David from Supermosca as drummer, in RPM with Roger García. Since then, the SMB has always recorded with Roger (hes already one more of the SMB) in the RPM studios. In November of the year 2000 desolation winds was recorded with David, the actual drummer, between June and November of the year 2002 the fucking World, and between June and September of 2005 now with Fernando and Carlos the In power we trust, which we later on sent to be masterized to Finland thanks to the intervention of Nicolás García, the manager of Terroristars. __________________________________________________________ About the music were actually doing, every component of the group has his special taste and influence, the mixture is the result. We dont dare, or want to, pigeonhole us or define ourselves in a specified style. Therefore are we the Sweet Metal Band, from the most classical metal, passing through the most new one, trash, death, hard-core, etc, they can all be present in the same theme. We dont know about barriers, or have any musical prejudices, but obviously we move along all possible varieties. Like anecdote we can tell that we always like to play some new version and weve passed from playing versions of Metallica (Nothing Else Matters, Entersadman, Master of Puppets.), Marilyn Manson (Beautyfull People, Sweet Dreams, Irresponsable Hate Athem), Limp Bizkit (Misin imposible), Sepultura (Territory), to make new versions of Mudvayne (Dig, Death Blooms.), and actually of Slipknot (My plague, Left Behind, Duality.). In some forum someone dared to call us the Spanish Slipknot and although we felt flattered, we think that this affirmation is far from real as you can find out yourself. __________________________________________________________ Health and strength.

Criticas ácidas y sarcásticas de todo lo que nos rodea empezando siempre por esos animales racionales también conocidos como seres humanos y demás formas víricas de vida aparentemente inteligente. En definitiva, The sweet metal band SMB , es una banda totalmente malintencionada y políticamente incorrecta . Con un solo objetivo. La Sweet Metal Band nació oficialmente en Valencia en 1.999 aunque la mayoria de sus miembros llevamos mas de 10 años en esto de la música en diferentes grupos la mayoría desconocidos. Desde que la SMB empezó a dar conciertos en 1.999 (y van más de 100 e in crescendo) Han tocado entre otros con grupos como: Jon Spencer Blues Explosión, Sôber, Aina, Koma, Ktulu, Grass, Monkey Hole, Morgana Vs. También hemos tocado en las Nits joves, y Festes del Crist de Aldaya, así como en la Sala Anoeta de Vigo, Number One de Calatayud, Rock Rincón de Benalmadena, Sala Stereo de Alicante, y en el escenario de piedra de Aldea de Canara de Murcia (gracias a Dracony), entre otros. Mencionar también otras salas de Valencia por las que hemos pasado como; Toro bravo, Paberse Matao, Rocksala, So what, Zepelin, Fenix, Rock Cafe, Sexto Sentido, Tres historias, Beberte, Discoteca Cala, República .

En cuanto a discos , hemos grabado en estudio un total de 3 , autofinanciados y distribuidos, por nosotros mismos: "desolation winds" 2.001 "fucking world" 2.003 "in power we trust" 2.006.
La SMB pisó por primera vez un estudio a principios del 2.000, grabando una maqueta con 2 temas con David de Supermosca como batería, en RPM con Roger García. A partir de entonces, la SMB siempre ha grabado con Roger (ya es uno mas de la SMB) en los estudios RPM. En noviembre del 2.000 se grabo el "desolation winds" con David el actual batería, entre Junio y Noviembre del 2.002 el "fucking world", y entre Junio y Septiembre de 2.005 ya con Fernando y Carlos el "in power we trust". Que mas tarde enviamos a masterizar a Finlandia gracias a la mediación de Nicolás García manager de Terroristars.

En cuanto al tipo de música que actualmente hacemos, cada componente del grupo tiene su peculiar gusto e influencia, la mezcla es el resultado. Nosotros no nos atrevemos ni queremos encasillarnos o definirnos por un estilo en concreto. Para eso somos La Sweet Metal Band, desde el metal mas clásico, pasando por el mas new, el trash, el death, el hard-core, etc, pueden estar presentes dentro de un mismo tema. No conocemos barreras, ni tenemos prejuicios musicales, pero evidentemente, es por el Metal en todas sus posibles variedades donde nos movemos. Comentar como anécdota, que siempre nos gusta tocar alguna versión, y hemos pasado de tocar versiones de Metallica (Nothing Else Matters, Entersadman, Master of Puppets.), Marilyn Manson (Beautyfull People, Sweet Dreams, Irresponsable Hate Athem), Limp Bizkit (Misin imposible), Sepultura (Territory), a hacer versiones de Mudvayne (Dig, Death Blooms.), y actualmente de Slipknot (My plague, Left Behind, Duality.). En algún foro, alguien se atreve a calificarnos como los "slipknot españoles " aunque nos sentimos alagados, creemos que esta afirmación se aleja bastante de la realidad como podéis comprobar vosotros mismos.
