The Star Department's debut EP was released in to much critical acclaim and national airplay in Ireland, Spain and the US. Kramer (Low, Daniel Johnston, Galaxie 500) declared himself a big fan and mastered both the debut EP and unreleased mini-album "Auditions". The band were chosen as one of Today FM's 'Rising Bands' and their song "Embers" has been chosen for the the Aer lingus in-flight track-list. Also, the song "Flickering Lights" has been chosen by Road Records & Nokia as one of the 'Recommender' songs which showcases the best new music worldwide. After a hiatus, and consequent line up change, 2012 will see the release of their debut album, 'The Pea Green Boat'.
