The Small Faces - "Itchycoo Park", original mono 45 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Mar 25, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
The innovative and spaced-out single by the Small Faces, it had *that sound* in it!

There had been one other record, "The Big Hurt", performed by Miss Toni Fisher, recorded and released back in 1959, that used the phasing, (or flanging) sound effect, and was arguably the first recording to utilize that sound. Itchycoo Park, released in August 1967, was the next record of note to use flanging. The effect is far more pronounced here in the mono single version, than in the stereo album cut. In any case, the single version is the recording that became famous.

The song was written by Steve Marriott and Ronnie Lane.

The vinyl sound track was restored using Adobe Audition 3.0. My copy here was played almost to the death, so there's a bit more distortion in this soundtrack than usual.

Enjoy, and check out my channel for more music.
