From the director: The Skintones have been rocking crowds for over a decade, so when I saw them opening up for The Damned Things the other night I knew I had to get a good video. I managed to get a song called "Life Fight", a new one for the Madison trio. It's almost sounds like AC/DC on amphetamines.

These guys are champions of the 3-piece rock attack, with grit and growl galore. I think at one point they called their style "Psychofuzzcore" or something like that. It just rocks.

Now, the last time I caught them was the 2009 Maximum Ink Halloween show:
Crazy how fast the time goes by. That was back when they still had my old friend and teacher Travis Kasperbauer of Brainerd as their temporary rhythm guitar player.

Which reminds me, go to 3:15 in the Halloween video -- See the costumed chick with the giant silver shlong strapped to her standing in front of Travis? That's none other than Jane Weidlin, former guitarist of The Go Go's. You know, Joan of Arc in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure?

If you just drew a blank you're either dead or still in elementary school.

Ah, but I digress....

The Skintones are on Crustacean Records, home of some of the most kick-ass rock and metal groups in the Midwest, including Droids Attack, The Pimps, and Things Fall Apart. They fit in nicely.
They even had their tune "H-Bomb" covered by Lorenzo's Music on the 2011 Local Love Fest mixtape (which is completely fucking awesome).

The Skintones are:

Pete Ress -- Lead Guitar, Lead Vocals
Gavin Lefebvre -- Bass Guitar, Vocals
Tony Leskinen -- Drums, BG Vocals
