the secret stolen

In 2005, our band The Secret Stolen, began writing music influenced by progressive/punk bands

such as At The Drive-In and Dredg. Other bands that influenced our style heavily were Nine Inch

Nails and Muse. Within only a couple months of our first live performances we were already booking

our first California tour. On our travels we befriended many awesome bands like Brilliant Red Lights,

Tera Melos, and By Sunlight who influenced our music even further towards the progressive rock

musical genre.



Flash forward to present day. 2 albums, 3 bass players, and somewhere around 200 shows later

the band has shifted in a new direction. Our latest recording, scheduled to be released in June

2010, explores a more traditional songwriting style with simpler song arrangements, pleasant

vocal harmonies, and a less aggressive delivery than our previous "in-your-face" approach.

However, the feel of the music and lyrics still carry with it remnants of the somewhat darker

undertones that contributed to what made our previous releases so terribly irresistible.
