The Riders of the Night were formed in North London in 2006 and released their debut record in the same year. A three track offering which included the numbers "Eyes Right" and "The Midnight Patrol". Apart from getting airplay on KissFM and BBC Radio London this release was also picked up and received a lot of attention from a many pirate stations in the London area.
A year later and The Riders' second E.P hit the streets. "B'Jesus Said Paddy" comprised of five new numbers and the band were helped out on the title track by Eddie Edwards of The Vibrators on drums and Gary Lammin (original Cock Sparrer guitarist), while a couple of band members were temporarily indisposed.
The CD also included a bonus track sung by a recently departed friend of the band's The Bear aka Denton, which had been recorded with music by Chris Lowe of The Pet Shop Boys.
The year finished with The Riders' as guests and "B'Jesus Said Paddy" being played on Gary Bushell's "Rancid Sounds" Christmas Special radio show.
Next the band moved into the gigging circuit and it didn't take long for them to establish a reputation as an exciting and unpredictable 'must see' act onstage, as numerous sell-out gigs are now testament to.
Coming up to date The Riders' have just brought out their latest single "Kerb Crawler" currently getting much airplay on TotalRock Radio and are now in the studio working new material for another single and their first full album due for release early in the new year.
