Born from a breakup in late 2002, the Repos set out with two goals in mind: play short songs, and come up with a short stupid name starting with "The". Mission accomplished. In the Spring of 2003 the Repos began playing out, instantly drawing attention by playing extremely short sets of fast hardcore punk music, with ten-song sets lasting around 7 or 8 minutes. Led by singer Aaron, the Repos created music inspired by and ripped off from early Poison Idea guitar riffs, "Group Sex" Circle Jerks and "Is This My World?" Jerry's Kids drums, with lyrical content revolving around four basic subjects: paranoia, death, drugs, and fantasy.

The Repos recorded a demo in early 2003, and their first full length album in the Summer of 2003. Numerous problems prevented it from being released until the Fall of 2004. By that time, a split 7" of newer material was already released with fellow Chicago group Fourteen Or Fight. The Repos recorded material for a second full length album in the Spring of 2005. It was released in a limited number of 750 copies on vinyl in August of 2006. The planned bonus 12" was scrapped due to a lack of interest.

The Repos are playing two final shows at the end of March 2008 before burying the beast called this band. There will be no reunions, no jumping on stage for a quick set, and no regrets. This is the end.
