THEREMYN_4

THEREMYN_4 is the electronic live act leaded by Jose Gallo . With 6 full lenght releases and many performances all around Peru, Europe and Latin america they are considered by the public and the critic as one of the most important electronic live acts from the Peruvian scene over the last years.
At the beginning, on the eclectic sounds of FLUORESCENTE VERDE EN EL PATIO (2000) and the experimental landscapes, radio frequencies and retro sound of MI VIDA EN INFRARROJO (2001), THEREMYN_4 proposes an aesthetics where the local culture, the urban life and science fiction are interpolated on the search for an own sonic and visual style. During the following years, the shows on various stages and important festivals like LOOPERACTIVA, CONTACT and PARK-O-BAHN made the live shows of THEREMYN_4 a solid performance of sound and image.
The 3rd album LIMA/TOKYO/LIMA (2004) marks a solid evolution of THEREMYN_4. This album was revealed at the beginning of the year in a tour around France; this work is a synthesis of styles and influences that always carved in the music and visual concept of the project. Along to this work, PERUVIAN REMIXING CO. is published in June in which represents the first compilation of remixes produced in Peru. On 2005 the band play live sets performing these two albums all over Peru and alternate with international bands like Aviador Dro (Spain), Entre Ríos (Argentina) and Smooth (France). Both albums were chosen by the press as two of the best releases of the year, also played in several Peruvian TV shows.
SPACETIMEBOMB (2006), the 5th album, renews and reaffirms their sound this time driven by the roads of acid house, electro and techno always with the classic touch of breakbeat and jazz. This album includes the collaboration of outstanding Peruvian musicians and features the special participation of Gabriel Lucena, producer and member of the argentine band Entre Ríos.
This year (2006) SPACETIMBOMB is presented on Buenos Aires, Argentina at the FUGA JURASICA festival and cities from Peru including a show with Robin Guthrie (from Cocteau Twins). The video from the song ESCAPE EN UN SIMULADOR DE VUELO is selected as part of a traveling video art show on Europe and was selected to be exposed on BAC (Festival of Contemporary Arts of Barcelona)
The 2008 begins with a new live performance and more dancefloor oriented show with overdrive beats and experimental textures. From this sessions born INFLAMABLE, the new album released on June 2009. INFLAMABLE has been received with excellent critics in all the musical media from Peru and it has been played on 2009 at important shows in Lima like the one as the support act for PETER HOOK from NEW ORDER and at the main stage of CREAMFIELDS PERU with Richie Hawtin, Ettiene De Crecy and more international electronica artists. On August 2010, INFLAMABLE is presented live in Colombia at the Cucunuba Pop Fest 2010 with other indie selected bands from Latinamerica. On November they play in Lima with electronic legend ALAN WILDER from RECOIL/DEPECHE MODE.
THEREMYN_4 released its 7th album FICTION BEATS on November 2011.
