Mr. James Fox, Kenneth Epperson, Sr., Randy Brooks, Rodney Banks, and Bobby Walters formed The Redeeming Souls of Washington DC in July 1981; because they were determine to serve GOD thru songs. The men of The Redeeming Souls are members of various churches and are noted as good Christian men striving to live the life they sing about. They hope to bring many lost souls to Christ by spreading the good news of the Lord though song. The group has developed tight vocals harmony and balance. They have traveled all along the east coast and have been received with much enthusiasm by all ages, nationalities, and faiths.



The Redeeming Souls have been in concert with The Sensational Nightingales, The Might Clouds of Joy, The Jackson Southernairs, The late Willie Neil Johnson & The Gospel Keynotes, The 5 Blind Boys, The Barrett Sisters, along with many other national and local recording artists.



The groups very first recording was a 45 entitled Dont Let the Devil Ride/Blessed Assurance in 1984, with the help of the late Mr. Ernest P. White (In-Ernest Production). They release their first album (To My Fathers House) in June of 1990. In 1995, they were blessed to record their first live CD, Hallelujah Live, through Big Dog Production at New Mount Olive Baptist Church of Washington DC were the Rev. Luke Mitchell, Jr. is Pastor. The Redeeming Souls signed with Soul World Records recording label in 2001. Their latest recording is soon to be released. The group has also won various awards for their albums, outstanding harmony, dedication and attire.
