Quixotic developed around 2004 as a collaborative musical creation of guitar player and singer/songwriter David Vandenbroucke. The first incarnation of the band dabbled in multi-genre radio rock music, utilizing a progressive six piece ensemble including guitar, bass, drums, flute, saxophone & percussion, brought a tight, fiery energy to every original song and performance. This first version of Quixotic recorded their debut album, "Welcome" at Big Sky studios in Ann Arbor, MI., and after some additional mastering in famed Michigan studio the Tempermill, Dave and the boys brought the music to the people. Quixotic v1.0 performed most notably at Alvins, the Magic Stick, and the Majestic theater in downtown Detroit. The band was seen burning up the stage at Taste Fest, Arts, Beats & Eats, 4th ST. Fair & Dally in the Ally as well as many other regional venues. Though Quixotic has seen many musicians and musical incarnations, Dave Van has remained, always openly collaborating to create and perform at a level far surpassing the ordinary live rock band. In 2003 Dave explored his R&B, Hip-Hop, Rap and other influences, recording a full length album of original songs with a host of brilliant Detroit local musicians, many of whom made guest appearances on "The Debut of Rebirth". Between 2000 and 2002, Dave Van recorded two albums with Michigan based rock band Alpha Wave, and toured throughout the mid-west and east coast. He has been a productive and prolific artist, always pushing to bring the best to every project. Currently, Quixotic continues to push the musical envelope with high-energy, and tight, intense musical interplay. Blending original creative material and extended live sets, Quixotic incorporates exciting, unique ideas into every performance. Utilizing any and all of the modern musical tools at their disposal, the band and its members bring fun and good energy to each show. Dave Van-Vox/Guitar, Wayne Moore-Drums/Vox, G. Bradley-Bass/Vox & Brian McClue-Guitar/Vox lay down the rythmic groove that gives Quixotic's music a colorful, vibrant identity impossible to ignore. Cum Get Some!!
